I started making cloth dolls in 1997. An
article in Soft Dolls & Animals! using silk ribbon embroidery was what got me hooked. I have had many
of my dolls featured in SD&A. "Elizabeth & The Water Aerobics Ladies" was a featured pattern in 2004. The
doll shown here was the winner of the "Me,Myself & I" challenge as seen in the April/May 2005 issue and my "Red Hat Momma's"
are in the Inspirations column of the June/July 2005 issue. Sisters Madge & Midge made appearence in the
January 2006 issue, and my Altered book is featured in the July 2006. The sweet young lady in my heading has also appeared
there, and is the cover girl for a book I put together with my dolls and poems entitled "I Still Play With Dolls". price $7.50
My Two Sided Doll, and Guardian Angel were featured in challenges in Quilting Arts Magazine. Several of my dolls are on
display at the Turqouise Shop in Alamosa and other work is in the gift shop at at the Rio Grande Museum in Del Norte Colorado.
My doll of the "Maiden Kissing the Frog is the cover of Dolls United 2007 Fairy Tale Issue. Bramble Goblintree Fairy
is featured with pattern in Doll Crafter & Costuming Magazine Fantasy Issue, Aug. 2007. King Neptune is featured with pattern
in Sept. 2007 issue of SD&A and Tattu & Saloni are on the Inspirations page in that issue also.
The April 2006 issue of Colorado Central Magazine had a very nice article about me and
my work. You can still access it by going to: http://www.cozine.com select the archives
section then just type in my name!
Unless credited to with another artist's name,
all my dolls are my own designs, for which I am working on getting patterns put together. That takes a little time, so if
I do not have a pattern listed and you are interested let me know. I have them in rough form, just not put all together. I
am also working on putting many in PDF form for your (and my)convenience. Meanwhile I'm trying to get this website done...no
easy task for a novice like myself! I am a blonde you know!
